What a wonderful story! Tears of joy are running down my face.
It is so hard to believe "Neither Sand Nor Sea" is your first novel. It captured me right away and drew me in so well I could feel the character's feelings. I grew up in upper Manhattan, spent several summers while in high school out in Montauk and would love to take a small full-sail cruise one day. Your characters I could readily identify with and match with people in my own life so I found the inter-action between them interesting and stimulating. Your story never had a dull moment and provided excellent details for me to picture the scene. I know my daughter, sister and friends will just love this book as much as I. Hopefully, my e-mail finds you busily at work on the sequel. Congratulations and Best Wishes for the success of many, many more books.

What a pleasure to meet Carla Montgomery and to come to know the people in her life! Each of the diverse characters find a role in her life --from the friends who met her in her childhood to those who become woven into the most critical days in this year which redefines her future.
This is a book which takes the reader from the exciting world of competitive scions of industry to the contrast of the delights of the seashore of Montauk with its memories and surprising family discoveries and is interwoven with the unexpected turn of events as we experience a cruise on a unique ship!
For readers, the story is compelling and has all the elements needed to be a book to be thoroughly enjoyed and hoping for more to come!

We read your book and it was wonderful. Romantic novels are not the usual
read for a man, but I read it because of the author.
Janice & Jack Busher
A voyage worth taking. Memorable, moving. Set off on a journey and learn that we all have opportunities presented to us. Where we choose to take them is what makes "life" one's great adventure.
Bridget Dean
I loved it. I usually tend to read the 20-30 something romance novels-more the trade paperbacks, i.e., sushi for beginners, shopahloic series for fun but am
really into reading travel essays and historical fiction. Neither Sand Nor Sea was a great read. I read it a couple of weekends ago when Iwas at the beach (Ocean Beach, Fire Island) and it was perfect. I couldn't put it down. I love to travel and I've never though about going on a cruise but the one you described in the book sounds wonderful. I liked Carla and all the other characters (even Julian). Congratulations! And thanks for the great read.
Debbie Ardemendo
I enjoyed it and found myself wanting a romantic getaway like the cruise you described. It was a great romantic read! I hope it enjoys great success.
Ina Andrews
I just wanted you to know I thoroughly enjoyed the book, (as a matter of
fact, finished it in a couple of days). I'm looking forward to the sequel
to Neither Sand Nor Sea, and your future novels.
Charlotte Cuzzolino
I love Mrs. Kubik's new book!!! Romance novels are not my first choice for reading but I was so engulfed in Carla's journey, I could not put down the book!!! I can't wait for another book from Kathleen Kubik!!!
Michelle Duggan
WOW! What a great first book. I thoughly enjoyed it. Although the book can definitely be catagorized as a love story, it is really much more than that, and a book that even men can enjoy. What makes this love story more riveting than most is your exceptional attention to descriptive details. It is through your precise descriptions of scenery, emotions, and even everyday happenings that the reader becomes truly engulfed in the life of Carla Montgomery.
Congratulations on a great novel, and I look forward to many more.
Karen Lachiewicz
I loved it!!! I couldn't put it down. I had a hard time not looking at the end to see what happened! I'm looking forward to your next book---How about a sequel!?!?!?
Joanne Baschinsky
I loved the story!!! I finished it in one weekend. I really cared about your characters. I especially like the manner in which you incorporated conversation about the Catholic Church. It was gentle but informative. I would love to read more about Anna Marcel....she was such an intriguing character. It's so much fun to read a story about places in which you've lived. It reminded me of Plum, Island...my husband and I have a home in East Marion and much of DeMille's story takes place in that part of LI. Your story brought back memories of trips to Montauk when I was working in Southampton. Best wishes in your career...let me know when the next book is in print.
Ann Sande
Hi, I read your book and really enjoyed it. Your book was a little therapeutic for me, as I could relate to so much of Carla's life. It really touched home even tough it was fiction. I liked the way you went back and forth with the characters(little twists). I honestly could not put the book down because I wanted to
see what happened. It really left a lot up to your imagination. I think your book had a lot of depth to it and really reeled you in. Great job! I'll look forward to the next one and would recommend this to others.
Barbara Russo
I really enjoyed the book particularly the shipboard descriptions since we have been on the ship that was used in the book! It brought back nice memories! I was very impressed with the way you tied up all the relationships at the end. An easy and relaxing read, a real escape!
Nancy Goldmark
I finished Neither Sand Nor Sea a few weeks ago, but I find myself still thinking and caring about its characters. As I turned the pages of the book, I found myself reading slowly to prolong the story, yet I was very anxious to see how it was going to end. Kathleen, you made the characters so believable and the locales so vivid that one wants to visit Montauk and Norway and take a cruise. Since one of my hobbies is to visit model homes, your descriptions of the interior design business was particularly fascinating to me. I am looking forward to the sequel (or maybe even a movie???) Good luck with your future endeavors.

I just finished reading Neither Sand Nor Sea and I want to congratulate you and thank you for writing such a wonderful story. The story of Carla and her relationships was so real (and the plot had some surprising twists and turns), that it kept my interest until the last page. I loved reading it and I would love to read about these fascinating characters in a sequel.
Mary Didden

I have immensely enjoyed reading your book. I could not put it down. It is definitely a page turner. You describe your characters so well that from the beginning, you get a feeling for them and you are not disappointed with the ending. I highly recommend this novel!

Jackie Cast
You are amazing - how interesting - so much characterization background that ended up like mini lessons in life, love, wine, ocean vessels and memories of good old Catholic stuff. I did get a little seasick and needed a dramamine for the cruise. I was mesmerized by the story, characters and almost fell for Julian.
May Daly
I been wanting to let you know that I finally had a chance to read the book and I loved it. I enjoyed the characters and couldn't put the book down. I have been using my lunch hour as an opportunity to enjoy the book. I even purchased one as a present for my friend who enjoys reading.
Kim Allen
I just finished the last page, and I really didn't want the story to be over. I enjoyed every minute, and cannot wait for another book to be written by you. Please tell me you have one in mind.
My heritage is Norwegian, we would go out to Montauk when we lived on
Long Island, and my husband and I have been on 13 cruises filled with
romance in foreign countries...soooooo, you can see how much your
writing hit my heart.
Thank you for a GREAT READ. It's wonderful when you can go into a book
and feel you are living that characters life.
I would appreciate being on your mailing list for future books, if that
is possible.
Your happy fan,
Lianne Hass
I LOVED your book and am waiting for the next!

I wanted to tell you that I devoured your book!!! I cannot even tell you how much I loved it! My mom is reading it now :o) My favorite authors are V.C. Andrews, Susan Andersen & Karen Robards, and now I can add Kathleen Kubik to that list :o) When is the sequel coming out? LOL!
Marisa Andreocci
It's a good book-not the typically mushville stuff-it is very engaging...
Gail Roberts
I loved your book!
Dottie Parrott
I read your book some time ago and enjoyed it very much. The
locations in New York anad Long Island were famiklar to me which
seemed to make it like a personal journey. I donated your novel to our Flower Mound Library a number of months ago. Whenever I am in the Library, I always check the shelves for your book, and it is out!...I will begin circulating your book among the Seniors in our Senior Center for them to enjoy.
I hope your sequel is coming along well.
Rosalie Saunders
I normally don't read romance, but I was in the mood for one and when I saw your book took place in Montauk and another of my favorite places, a cruise ship,I decided to purchase it. I just wanted to tell you how much I loved the book and am telling my friends about it or sharing my copy with them. Good Luck and I'll be awaiting your next book.
Thank you for a pleasant read.
Linda Post
I read your book and thoroughly enjoyed it. One would never know that it was your first novel. It got me involved from the first minute and I was sorry to say good-bye to the characters at the end. I gave it to my mother-in-law to read and she actually said that she wanted to stay home to read the book- she was anxious to see what would happen. ANYWAY, COMPLIMENTS FROM BOTH OF US AND WE LOOK FORWARD TO BOOK # 2!!
Cathy Hertz
I really enjoyed the book and am passing it on to my daughter. Hope you are writing a sequel!

I finished your book a few days ago and enjoyed every page. I urge you to continue the story and let we readers know when it is complete. You are a great writer so keep going!!! A happy purchaser of your book.
Mimi
Upon seeing your cover I brought the book home and had it read in two
nights. I have to tell you the book was so engaging and wonderful. This past
weekend upon returning from New England from a funeral my "almost 80 yr
old mother" needed something to read and so I recommended your book which
was sitting on my table. She had it finished by the following afternoon. I would love to know if you have written or plan to write any other books since we now have another fan in my mom.
Thanks for writing such as engaging and warm love story. Any woman who has searched for "Mr. Right" up into her forties or so can relate to the struggle and journey of your character.
I look forward to reading your next book.
Maureen Corrigan-Connell
I just loved your book and did not want to put it down.
Beth, a huge fan
